Short description of the project: “igm Pick and Place welding robot application for the automated production of conveyor belts for cable car systems”
The task of the pick-and-place system configuration is to assemble the complete transport belts for cable car systems from single components provided in pallets, including tacking and welding of all components. Welding spatters will be removed automatically and the completely manufactured brackets will be transferred to a defined station for the next assembly sequence.
With this solution, partially automated manufacturing steps with manual workpiece preparation are transferred into a fully automatic production sequence with complete offline programming of the complete system - in the sense of industry 4.0.
