Officine Barbieri Srl is an owner-managed metal construction company near Ferrara in Italy and is specialized in the contract manufacturing of components for medium and heavy engineering for over 40 years. The company deals with all machining processes: drilling, semi-automatic and robotic welding, automatic welding and pipe cutting, precision machining on machining centers and CNC lathes. For example Barbieri made the entire steel structure of the new Juventus Stadium in Turin and was also involved in the construction of the main components for the MOSE flood protection project in Venice.
Since 1995, Barbieri relies on robot systems from igm Robotersysteme AG. In total 6 igm robotic systems with control versions of K3, K4 and K5 are in operation, one of them with a TWIN process and a plasma cutting system.
Barbieri´s product range in mechanical engineering for various industries:
- components of earthmoving machinery, for example main frame and telescopic arms
- Equipment for overhead cranes, such as structural beams, consoles and loading hooks, trolleys and bridge constructions in the area of lifting and transporting
- Rails, supports and couplings for rail and road traffic
- Beams for bridges, steel structures and other special works for the construction industry
- Mechanical structures for different types of devices, for example supports and foundations for machining tools
