Inauguration Ceremony of a welding robot in Hungary at SBS Kft.

One of the largest igm robot plants in Hungary was inaugurated at the SBS Kft. site in Erdőtelek. The Hungarian manufacturer of metal constructions produces various components for the world's leading machine manufacturers.

During the ceremonial handover, the owner and managing director Mr. László Balogh emphasised that this occasion was another important milestone in the life of SBS Kft. to become one of the leading machine manufacturers in Europe. The company celebrated its 25th anniversary of existence last year and is proud of its continuous development and its globally recognised professional partners.

The latest TLA3 overhead slide system is the company's sixth welding robot and is equipped with a seven-axis igm RTE477-S robot, a 5-ton L-manipulator and a 5-ton theadstock that can be adjusted to different face plate distances on a motorised MTS.55 track. The robot is used to weld large chassis, booms and bogies with a total weight of up to 10 tons for well-known earthmoving machinery and railway manufacturers.

Mr. Martin Merstallinger, CEO of igm Robotersysteme AG, emphasised at the festive event that SBS Kft. has developed into an internationally recognised steel construction manufacturer and igm's most important partner in Hungary over the past 25 years.

SBS Kft. successfully manufactures welding robots with igm for renowned machine manufacturers such as Liebherr, Caterpillar, Terex, Hamm, Sennebogen and Goldhofer. The development continues to progress and the joint work continues in the sense of Industry 4.0.
